The Butler Area School District is launching a new website on Wednesday.
The web address is the same, www.basdk12.org, but the district says visitors to the site will find it easier to navigate and find important information.
The district conducted a survey earlier this year and asked parents what they most wanted out of a website. That information was then incorporated into the new design.
District communications director Kara Droney said the new site is nearly half the cost of the old site to run. The district hopes to be able to use it to communicate more effectively with parents and to cut down on paper being sent home with students.
The district also plans to roll out an app in the future.
