If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about camping and backpacking, a program this weekend at Moraine State Park could be for you.
A park naturalist will teach the basics of camping and backpacking Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Moraine Outdoor Center on the North Shore.
Those who attend will learn about proper planning, equipment needed, how to correctly load a backpack, and the importance of the “Leave No Trace” policy.
Participants are welcome to join a real camping and backpacking trip at the park in August.
