New data from the state shows that guns sales are down slightly compared to this time last year.
The number of background checks is down 25 percent through the first quarter of this year opposed to 2021.
There were just over 322,000 background checks in the first three months of the year. A total of 5,400 people were denied a firearm and 13 people were arrested for trying to purchase a gun.
