John Aber of Allegheny Country Club won the Tri-State PGA Diamond Run Golf Course Pro-3 Amateur event Monday with a -6 under 66. Steve Kusenko of Mon Valley Country Club was a stroke back. A team led by John Aubrey of Aubrey’s Dubbs Dred won the team event at -22 under. Aubrey teamed with Gordy Graham, Danny Baran and Dave Korn.At the 101st Pennsylvania Golf Association’s Open Championship Monday, J.D. Dornes of Lancaster shot a 62 in the opening round to take a three shot lead. The event is being played at the Gulph Mills Golf Club in King of Prussia. Robert Rohanna of Waynesburg is tied with five other golfers for second place after an opening round of 65.
