An event this weekend will look to raise money and awareness to help fight hunger.
On Sunday, the 7th annual Walk For Hunger will happen at the Zelienople Community Park. The yearly walk benefits Armstrong’s Breaking Bread Initiative, specifically in the Zelienople area.
The event also teams up with a senior from Seneca Valley High School to help them learn more about the ongoing battle to fight hunger in the community while volunteering and collecting donations.
The event begins at 9 a.m. with registration followed by an opening ceremony and the walk at 10 a.m. This gathering concludes with a basket raffle drawing and check presentation.
The cost to participate is $20. For more information, visit the registration page on Armstrong’s website.
