Community feeding programs are experiencing increased demand in their services during the coronavirus pandemic.
That’s why Armstrong organized a virtual 5K race to help raise funds for local food banks and pantries. The event raised nearly $9,000 that will be distributed to local feeding programs throughout Armstrong’s service area.
The fundraiser was a part of Armstrong’s Breaking Bread Initiative—which is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The project was started to help feed those in need.
