An Armstrong County woman is accused of trying to kill her husband with an ax.
41-year-old Melanie Sue Snyder of Manor Township is charged with attempted homicide. She is accused of attacking her husband, 41-year-old Thomas Snyder, in their home shortly before 10:30 a.m. Thursday in front of the couple’s three children.
Police found Melanie Snyder walking down the street in front of the couple’s home following the attack. Authorities say she said little and appeared emotionless as police placed her in custody.
Thomas Snyder was found bleeding in the home. He was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment.
A motive is unclear.
