The 19th annual Basket Auction to benefit the Caring Angel Program is underway.
The auction has become a staple in the Butler community during the holiday season. Butler Memorial Hospital employees and friends donate elaborate baskets- which are raffled off each December.
Tickets are available inside the tower entrance at Butler Memorial through Dec. 8. Winners will be announced on Friday, Dec. 9.
The Caring Angel Program was started 24 years ago as a way to support children’s services provided by Butler Memorial Hospital. The event now raises nearly $100,000 each year to help provide emergency room care to children whose parents or guardians do not have insurance or the resources to pay.
The program also helps families and children in need through educational, therapeutic and support services at BHS Family Services.
