The Furries are back in Pittsburgh this weekend.
Actually the Anthrocon Convention begins Thursday at the David Lawrence Convention Center and runs through Sunday. This is the annual event where people from all over come to Allegheny County and dress up in ‘mascot-like’ animal costumes. According to the organization’s website, a voice actor and an award-winning independent animator will also be at the event.
In past years, many of these humanlike animal characters have been known to walk around the streets of Pittsburgh. It also been promoted that if you’d like a picture with one, just ask.
This is the 20th year for the event.
