Today is the American Heart Association’s National Eating Healthy Day.
The theme this year is ‘Be Colorful’ since adding more color to meals through fruits and vegetables can lead to a healthier and longer life. In addition to being more colorful, fruits and vegetables have more nutrients and fewer calories, which can help prevent heart disease.
A free, online toolkit is available with easy and fun activities for the entire family, including ideas for healthier eating and delicious recipes.
