Young people angling for entertainment this weekend are welcome to participate in an event at Alameda Park in Butler Township.
The award winning 19th annual Alameda Youth Fishing Derby will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring this event and will award prizes. Those participating should bring their own tackle, fishing pole, and bait.
Advanced registration is appreciated but not necessary. The cost is $9 per angler cash or check only. This event will take place rain or shine.
