The Butler County Area Agency on Aging is trying to bring more awareness to scams targeting seniors.
Officials with the organization say they have seen an uptick in scams targeting the elderly—ranging from construction-related scams to financial scams over the phone.
The agency works closely with state police on scams and has also added a caseworker to help handle scams in the area.
They continue to warn seniors to be alert and to contact police if they believe a scam has been committed.
