The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office will be prosecuting the case against a local doctor accused of inappropriately touching a patient.
48-year-old Dr. Matthew Sabo of Chicora is facing charges of sexual extortion and indecent assault that happened at his Foot and Ankle Wellness Center office in Ford City.
The female who reported the crime, told police she had been a patient of Sabo’s for many years since she was treated for a foot injury in 2003.
She said Sabo then began to inappropriately hug her and touch her breasts during exams starting in 2017.
Sabo also operates the Foot and Ankle Wellness Center in Butler.
The AG’s office says if anyone feels like they may have been a victim should contact state police in Kittanning.
