Attorney General Michelle Henry has announced she has joined in with 42 other state Attorney Generals urging congress to require warnings on social media websites.
In a letter to congress AGs from all over the country stressed legislation be passed that would having warning labels on social media sites inform users of the mental health risks to adolescents.
The Surgeon General Vivek Murthy proposed warning labels that would outline significant mental health risks but it would take an act of congress for labels to be added.
While touring schools last year Henry completed a report with how gun violence impacted their mental health and many students said social media played a role in the violence.
