No one was injured in a Monday afternoon fire that damaged a garage in Portersville.
The fire started just before 4 p.m. in the 1200 block of Route 19, according to Portersville Fire Chief Tim Saunders.
“The fire was in a detached garage that had a loft for a man-cave,” he said.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
According to Saunders, the structure sustained minor damage but damage to the contents could be more substantial.
“The fire was put out pretty quickly; however, there was some damage. It’s a garage– it was loaded full of tools and stuff. Some stuff got wet, some stuff got a little bit smoky,” he said.
The owner was insured. Crews cleared the scene after a little over an hour.
