Additional troopers will be out on the roads beginning Friday looking for impaired drivers.
Pennsylvania State Police from the Butler Barracks will be among those that will have a greater presence through Jan. 1.
Police urge those planning to celebrate this weekend to make plans to either stay at the location of the get-together or get a designated driver.
