There will be an added police presence at Butler Area School District buildings on Wednesday after a threat was received.
Assistant Superintendent Brian Slamecka notified parents this morning. He said a “vague threat” was posted on social media but did not elaborate. Police were immediately contacted and extra precautions taken.
Classes within the district will run as scheduled.
This comes after a bomb threat led to the evacuation of the Butler Intermediate High School on Friday. Nothing was found but Butler Township Police are continuing to investigate.
