A Beaver County man has allegedly admitted to a bank robbery that occurred in Cranberry Township last year.
According to a criminal complaint filed by the Cranberry Township Police, a male, later identified as Patrick Acierno of Freedom entered the PNC Bank on Route 19 shortly after 10 a.m. on September 12th. He is accused of demanding tellers put money into a bag and he left on foot with nearly $4,000.
Acierno was arrested on Tuesday (3/5) following an attempted robbery of the Key Bank in McCandless, Allegheny County. He then allegedly admitted to FBI investigators that he robbed four other banks including the PNC on Route 19 in Cranberry.
Acierno is facing many charges including felony robbery, theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property.
