AAA wants to show local college students that alcohol isn’t required to have a good time.
The travel group will sponsor a student ‘Mix-Off’ tonight on the campus of Slippery Rock University to promote responsible drinking off-campus, sober driving and alcohol-free parties.
Participants will compete to make the best alcohol-free drink while being judged by a panel.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 28 people in the United States die in an alcohol-related vehicle crash every day. Despite drunken driving fatalities decreasing over the last 30 years, the chance of being in an alcohol-impaired crash is still one in three over the course of a lifetime.
