The spring-like weather has many thinking ahead to warmer months.
But, spring is also known for the wet weather and travel experts are reminding drivers this is a good time to check your tires.
Jana Tidwell is a spokeswoman with AAA and she says a simple test of your tires can be done by using a quarter.
“Slip an upside down quarter between your tire grooves and look at George Washington’s head,” Tidwell said. “If you can see all of his head, it’s time to start shopping for new tires.”
Tidwell also says that AAA research has found that tire performance varies by brand, and that price is not necessarily an indicator of quality.
