When are you hitting the road for Christmas?
AAA says one-in-three Americans will travel this holiday, and Thursday is predicted to be the nation’s busiest travel day.
The year-end holiday travel period is technically defined as Saturday, Dec. 22 through Tuesday, Jan. 1. The 11-day span is one day longer than last year, due to Christmas and New Year’s Day both falling on Tuesdays.
AAA stats show a travel increase of about four-and-a-half-percent this year over last, and officials says there’s a lot of reasons for that– including lower gas prices.
