Gas prices in the area jumped another eight cents in the past week, topping out at well-over $2 per gallon.
The average price in Western Pennsylvania for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve is now $2.16, up for $2.08 last week and under $2 last month.
In Butler County, the average price is $2.13.
AAA says many refineries are conducting seasonal maintenance, which has led to a decline in fuel production. Refineries are also preparing to produce summer-blend gasoline.
