Local gas prices continue to tick downward.
According to AAA East Central’s Weekly Gas Price Report, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $2.86. That’s down two cents from last week.
Earlier this month, AAA warned that drivers would soon be paying $3 per gallon for gas, but prices in Butler have actually decreased a nickel since then.
Pennsylvania drivers are still paying some of the highest gas prices in the country. The national average is $2.52.
