To the surprise of some, gas prices in the area continue to go down.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve in Butler is $2.75. That’s fourteen cents cheaper- per gallon- than last week.
The average price for a gallon in western Pennsylvania as a whole is $2.92, down eight cents.
Analysts say inventories are up, which should keep gas prices stable for now, and move them even cheaper in the month ahead.
