New Castle- New Castle senior safety, quarterback and Ohio State football signee Markus Hooker, single handedly beat the Knoch Knights. The final score was 42-21 New Castle Red Hurricanes. Knoch quickly scored the first touchdown of the game to take an early 7-0 lead before the Red Hurricanes under Hooker took control into halftime 28-14. Hooker banged up his ankles in the final minutes of the first half and still came back out in the second half under center for the Red Hurricanes. In the second half, Hooker helped his team score another two touchdowns for the Red Hurricanes, en route to scoring 42 points on the Knight’s defense. With the loss, the Knight’s are now 2-4 in the section and 2-5 overall. With the win, the Red Hurricanes are now 5-2 in the section and 5-3 overall. The Knoch Knights are back in action next week at home against Ambridge. Tune into 680 WISR at 6:30 P.M. with the Knoch coaches show and kick-off set for 7 P.M.
