Spring turkey season kicks off this weekend with the annual youth spring turkey hunt.
Hunting hours for the youth event begin a half hour before sunrise on Saturday, April 20 and end at noon. All participants in the youth hunt must be accompanied by an adult.
The PA Game Commission is also sponsoring the second annual Turkey Harvest Photo Contest. Finalists will be chosen in the adult and youth categories, and then the public will vote for winners on the game commission’s Facebook page. Winners will be awarded a personalized engraved box call.
Spring Gobbler Season for all hunters begins next Saturday, April 27 and runs through May 31.
