It was an all-star lineup, at a sold-out New York theatre for the All for the Hall fundraising concert on Tuesday night.
Imagine acoustic performances by Carrie Underwood, Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris, Brad Paisley, and Paul Simon. All on stage at the same time swapping stories and songs with no set list.
Carrie and Brad had the crowd laughing as if they warming up for their CMA co-hosting gig, Brad joked…”Well I guess it’s the wrong thing to say, but God bless the Ashley Madison website hack for many reasons,” and Carrie was quick to clarify that they are fans of “the hack, not the website.” Quipping a reference to country music songs, Brad explained, “If anyone has a right to deal with a cheating website it’s us.”
Between ticket sales and a live auction, the event netted more than $150,000 for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
