The Pittsburgh Penguins were blanked by the Dallas Stars 3-0 last night in their opening game. The Pens put 37 shots on goal, but could not solve former Stanley Cup champion goaltender Antti Niemi. Niemi also assisted on the first two Dallas goals, to become the first goaltender in NHL history to have two assists and a shut-out in a game. Pens goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 21 of 24 Dallas shots. The Penguins visit the Arizona Coyotes Saturday for a 10pm Face-off. Pre-game on WISR 680am at 9:30pm. The Pens first home game is Tuesday against Montreal.
