Organizers of Penn State’s student-run THON charitable campaign have suspended a “canning” weekend because of a student’s death in a car crash.
Vitalya Sepot, 19, of Connecticut was killed when the vehicle she was in crashed last month on the PA Turnpike. She and six others were returning from canning- where students collect donations in coffee cans- when they crashed. A passenger from Gibsonia was injured.
