The City of Butler Redevelopment Authority is renting space in their building to a couple companies involved in the Centre City project in downtown Butler.
At their meeting Monday night, the authority’s board heard from officials about the deal with JS Capital and Thomas Construction. JS Capital is the developer of the hotel and Thomas Construction is the contractor who will be building the new garage.
Final paperwork is being prepared for each company to rent space in the Redevelopment Authority’s building on East Cunningham Street, which is only one block over from the construction site.
The authority will collect a total of nearly $600 a month from both agreements. They are expected to begin in November and last about a year.
