Inclement weather forced Luke Bryan to delay his Farm Tour show scheduled for last night (Thursday, October 1st) in Lexington, Kentucky. Yesterday afternoon Luke tweeted, “Postponing a show is so difficult for me because I know it an inconvenience to the people that make my life amazing. The fans. Very sorry!” He added, “Rain is not a good thing when farmers are trying to harvest crops and I’m doing farm tour shows.”
The concert will now take place on Tuesday (October 6th) at Talon Farm & Winery in Lexington.
Luke tells us that these Farm Tour shows are always a good time and a way to give back to these farming communities. “We just want to have a little fun in the fall, and I think what’s cool about the Farm Tour is these things are a big event for these towns, and I just love the fact that people can come out and have a big time, listen to some music. And it’s just a fun experience all the way around. I want to continue to do what I can to keep it rockin’.”
Luke donates part of the ticket proceeds to the Luke Bryan Farm Tour Scholarship fund, which helps provide college scholarships to students from farming families in the communities along the tour.
The annual Farm Tour began on Wednesday (September 30th) in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and will wrap up on October 10th in Valdosta, Georgia.
In other Luke news, he will make a special appearance at the Country Music Hall of Fame And Museum on Sunday, November 1st for a discussion and short acoustic set in conjunction with his exhibit there called Luke Bryan: Dirt Road Diary. The program is included with museum admission, but seating is limited.
