This year’s Butler County Farm Tour has been improved to include a greater variety and number of stops.
Sara DiBello, Communications and Marketing Coordinator for the Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau, explains “It’s been expanded to two days. It’s now Saturday and Sunday because you’re going to need a lot of time. We’ve included over 30 stops. There are about 18 farms and then 20 extra stops on top of that that are related businesses, agri-tourism, farm to fork restaurants, different breweries, and people that make their own products here.”
The tour will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. this Saturday, as well as from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The free event will provide plenty of opportunities for the whole family to learn, shop, eat and play. Plus, those who visit enough farms could win valuable gift certificates.
“We’re encouraging people to visit at least five farms. We’re going to be doing a passport program where if you get five or more stickers, you can enter to win Butler County gift certificates. Each farm you go to will have an information booth and you can get your stickers there. Once you visit five, you can just leave your passport there and you will be entered to win one of four $100 certificates,” DiBello continued.
