A Slippery Rock woman was seriously hurt in a crash early Sunday in Center Township.
According to State Police in Butler, two vehicles were traveling northbound on Route 8 at Mercer Road at 4:15 a.m. when the second vehicle attempted to pass the first.
As the second vehicle tried to pass, the first vehicle also traveled into the oncoming lane of travel and into the path of the second vehicle…causing the second vehicle’s driver to lose control, hit an embankment and overturn. The driver, 22-year-old Heather Brinker, was ejected. She was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital with major injuries.
The other driver, 19-year-old Domenic Deangelo of Butler, was not hurt.
