No students were injured in a minor school bus accident early Monday in Mars.
The accident was reported to the Butler County 911 Center about 7 a.m. on Callery Road in Forward Township.
Medics were requested at the scene to evaluate students as a precaution but no students were taken to the hospital, according to the Butler County 911 Center.
Jane Roth, Mars Area School District Director of Transportation, said the accident was minor and the school bus clipped the corner of a construction vehicle that was parked on Callery Road.
“As per the District’s procedure regarding school bus accidents (no matter how minor), 911 was contacted and emergency responders checked out all of the students before they were transferred to another school bus and transported to school,” according to district spokesman Josh Schwoebel.
No students were injured. They were taken to Mars Middle and High schools.
