The City of Butler is moving ahead with plans to sell land formerly known as Zeigler Playground.
During their meeting Thursday night, council voted unanimously to spend $1,000 for an appraisal to be done on the property by Nicklas King McConahy and Company.
The land has long been vacant and not owned by anyone until the city recently filed a claim.
The goal of the city is to market the area for upscale housing.
