Cranberry officials will decide what constitutes a kennel and where they are permitted within the township.
A public hearing is scheduled during Thursday’s board of supervisors meeting. The need to clarify the definition of a kennel came up after a situation in neighboring Beaver County where a rescue shelter was created in a residential neighborhood. The board decided to clarify the definition of kennels and where they are permitted.
The board is also expected to look at expanding the definition of a methadone clinic to possibly include facilities that offer other medications (other than methadone) which are administered to treat drug addiction.
