Work on the Ritz Park tennis courts could begin as early as later this week.
At a Butler City Council meeting Tuesday, Councilman Bill May reported that the materials for the project will be arriving Thursday.
The city’s Streets and Parks departments will be joining forces to do the resurfacing, which will allow for a large cost savings for the city. Several days in a row of good weather will be necessary to get the work done.
Earlier this year, council approved about $7,000 worth of improvements to a park that hasn’t had much attention since it was constructed in the 1970s.
