Phil Kessel scored twice last night in his home debut with the Pittsburgh Penguins, as the Pens defeated Carolina 7-3 at the Consol Energy Center. Defensemen Kris Letang and Ollie Maata also scored. Both lost significant time to injury last season. Letang ended the night with four points. Sergei Gonchar and second round draft pick Daniel Sprong also scored goals for the Penguins.
