the Butler Township commissioners have no current standing to force improvements to be made to the land formerly known as Deshon Woods.
At a meeting Monday night, the commissioners discussed the current state of the land that was sold to build a new VA facility before that deal fell through.
The developer graded a wooded area to prepare for construction before the bid fell apart and several commissioners wanted to know if the township had any recourse to encourage improvement there.
However, the commissioners were informed by both the township solicitor and the chief township zoning officer that the county conservation district is the only entity that has a bond on the grading work done so far. Since there is still litigation that could affect the outcome of the case, it is unlikely that organization will take any action in the near future.
