Cyndi Lauper still just wants to have fun, only she wants to do it on the Country side. The 62-year-old pop artist told Bang Showbiz that her next project will be a Country album and it will be out sometime next year. Lauper says she wants to work with renowned Nashville producer Tony Brown, who works with Reba and George Strait, to name a few.
Lauper is quoted as saying she wants to come to Nashville to record “all those songs I used to sing my guts out in my apartment to!”
The colorful singer is best known for her 1983 hit “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” as well as chart-toppers like “Time After Time” and “True Colors.” Lauper is also a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
