Thomas Rhett‘s new album, Tangled Up, isn’t even in stores yet and it already features a Number One hit with “Crash And Burn.” Thomas’ second single from the project is called “Die A Happy Man,” which he tells us was inspired by his wife.
Thomas explains, “My wife has been on me for years to write something for her like Tim McGraw’s ‘Just to See You Smile.’ Obviously this isn’t exactly like that, but it’s my interpretation. It’s one-hundred percent autobiographical of our relationship in a three-and-a-half minute ballad. It’s probably my favorite song I’ve ever written and it will be fun to show our grandkids the video one day.”
Thomas has partnered with People.com to premiere the official music video for “Die A Happy Man.” The clip was shot on a Hawaiian getaway with his wife, Lauren, over the summer.
Thomas’ Tangled Up album will be released on September 25th. Beginning today (Friday, September 18th), fans who preorder Tangled Up on iTunes will instantly receive “Die A Happy Man” as well as the three previously released tracks.
