The Slippery Rock University men’s soccer team kept its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference record spotless Tuesday afternoon with a 3-1 win against California University (Pa.) at James Egli Field. After allowing Cal the opening goal, The Rock scored three unanswered. The win, SRU’s second in a row, improves The Rock’s record to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in league play. The win also pushes SRU’s record to 4-0 at home for the first time since 1980.
Slippery Rock University women’s soccer junior forward Dara Demich scored on a breakaway goal with 34 seconds remaining in regulation to give The Rock a 2-1 win against California University (Pa.) Tuesday afternoon at James Egli Field in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference play.
The win is The Rock’s second consecutive conference victory and third overall win in the last four games. SRU exits the California match at 3-2 overall and 2-1 in league contests.
