Alameda Park is going to the dogs today.
First the Butler Dog Training Association is holding an event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with vendors, homemade food, and a large raffle of dog items.
Then Butler County Parks and Recreation is teaming up with the Humane Society for a Doggie Paddle Pool Pawty at Alameda Waterpark from 1 to 4:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per canine and 50% of the proceeds from the canine only swim and contests go to the Humane Society.
Owners should be sure to bring a current copy of the dog’s license and vaccination records.
