Two people suffered moderate injuries in an accident in Mercer County Saturday.
While driving west on I-80 in a 1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme just after 8:20 a.m. Saturday, 29 year old Osborne Martin of Masury, Ohio reached for a cigarette. He then went off the road and the undercarriage of the car hit a cement culvert.
After Martin hit the culvert, his car flew in the air for almost 70 feet and then did, what police describe as a “nose dive” into a tree, breaking the tree in half.
Martin and his passenger, 32 year old Aimee Linsenbigler, were taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio with moderate injuries.
