An annual search and rescue training is being held Thursday at Moraine State Park near Portersville.
First responders throughout the area including state police, PA Game Commission officials, DCNR staff (Department of Conservation and Natural Resources) and volunteer organizations are participating in activities both in water and on land. The training is sponsored by the Bureau of State Parks and the Bureau of Forestry.
“We do this every year to hone our skills and make sure we are prepared going forward,” park Assistant Manager Jake Weiland told our newsroom.
It will continue until 3 p.m.
