The end is in sight for the finalizing of the Centre City Hotel Development project.
“We’re almost to the finish line on the construction loan, the TIF loan, and the bridge loan for the RACP grant. We just have a couple signatures and we’re all done,” said Don Graham, solicitor for the City of Butler Redevelopment Authority and one of the attorneys responsible for the many moving parts of this deal.
The deed for the property transaction has been completed pending a couple additional signatures from the Redevelopment Authority and the developer on documents that were not received until late Tuesday.
Graham continued, “I think we’re done. It’s just there’s so much paper I think all the lawyers want to step back and review and make sure everything is done and tied up nice and neat to make sure there aren’t any loose ends down the road.”
According to Mayor Tom Donaldson, the city will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday to award contracts for construction of the parking garage.
