A Butler judge has ruled on a motion made yesterday concerning the possible sale of Butler Area School District buildings.
Butler County Judge S. Michael Yeager has decided to take no action at this time on the request by current school board member Bill Halle and prospective member Leland Clark to receive a hearing now for their lawsuit to halt the process. However, the judge will consider stopping a sale if it looks like the current school board is planning to finalize a deal.
The solicitor for the school district argued that a hearing is not appropriate now since the buildings have not been sold.
Plaintiff Leland Clark who is also an attorney considers the decision to be “very fair to both sides of the case.”
