Older drivers are invited to register now for a free program in Cranberry next week.
Cranberry Township’s Police Department and EMS are teaming up with AAA and the AARP to offer personalized evaluations next Tuesday (9/8) between 1 and 4 p.m. at the rear parking lot of the Municipal Center.
The CarFit 12-point check takes about 20 minutes and helps drivers 65-and-older with positioning of seats, safety belts, sun visors, mirrors, head restraints and pedal movements. The goal of the program is to maximize comfort to improve safe operation of vehicles. Officials say traffic and road conditions have changed a lot since older drivers first passed their driving tests.
Appointments are limited. Call 724-776-5180 ext. 5 to reserve a time.
