It’s like ‘Dancing With The Stars’- but the Butler County version.
The Butler County Symphony Association announced Tuesday they will hold a new fundraiser this spring called ‘Dance with Butler County Celebrities.’
The event will be held on Saturday, May 11 at the Butler Days Inn. All proceeds will benefit the Butler County Symphony Orchestra and its educational outreach efforts.
Eight Butler County celebrities will be paired up with professional ballroom dancers, who will each choreograph a two-minute routine. Dance teams will compete for the judges’ award, and a people’s choice award. Attendees will be offered a group dance lesson while the votes are tallied.
The Butler County Celebrities include: ophthalmologist Dr. Dean Balouris, Butler County Commissioner Kevin Boozel, President of Butler County Ford Cathy Glasgow, Vice President of Butler Education Association and Butler School District teacher Amanda Gold, Vice Chairman of Cranberry Township Supervisors and Seneca Valley School District teacher Mike Manipole, President of the Butler County Community College Dr. Nick Neupauer, Butler County Commissioner Leslie Osche, and Assistant General Manager of the Butler Eagle Tammy Schuey.
Tickets for Dance with Butler County Celebrities are $75 per person, and $28 for children 10 and under. Tickets can be purchased by calling 724-504-6161 or by emailing [email protected]. All reservations must be made by Thursday, April 25.
