The Butler Township Planning Commission has recommended approval of a proposal to build a water utility on Greenwood Drive.
A developer presented the plan to build a PA American Water booster pump station on one acre zoned agricultural Tuesday night at the planning commission meeting.
There will be no neighbors within viewing distance of the self-contained prefabricated building. Although pumps will run continuously and a generator will be tested once a week to make sure it is operational, noise from the station is expected to be minimal.
The Butler Township commissioners are expected to discuss the proposal at their September 21 meeting.
